Wakesurfing Camp on Lake Waconia – LakeWave Surf Co.

Did you know surfing is no longer just in the ocean? You can surf right here on Lake Waconia with LakeWave Surf Co. Wakesurfing is a new sport where a wave is created behind a boat. This wave is big enough to surf on, with no need for a rope where you are pulled by the boat. At our camps kids will learn to get up on the surf board (with a tow rope) and progress from being pulled by the boat to being pushed by the wave! Once kids are able to surf with no rope we can teach a variety of tricks such as; surfing on both waves (right and left), surfing from far back on the wave to the front, carving up and down, jumping off the wave, spinning 360, doing shove it’s, and more. We allow surfers of all skill levels to work individually and at their own pace. Safety is our #1 priority. Life jackets will be required at all times by every participant. There will be 2 adults at each session, one driver and one teacher. Participants are required to be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water. Take full advantage of our great Minnesota summers and catch some waves! We believe life’s better on the water. We wakesurf behind a premier 2014, 22 foot Axis wakesurfing boat. Please provide a cell phone number at the time of registration for text message updates in regards to weather related cancellations and other communication. Lakewave.com
