Prepare your fishing pole and join the Lake Waconia Youth Fishing Club this summer! You’ll learn to bait your hook, cast your line and have lots of fun catchin’ fish with your friends! We will explore different baits and techniques to help us catch fish. This club is for the new and the experienced. Even if you’re already familiar with fishing, take it to the next step and see who can land the biggest fish between you and your friends. We’ll meet down at the Cedar Pointe Park Dock on Lake Waconia (near the tennis courts). All fishing will be from the safety of the dock and all fish will be released back into the lake. Bait will be provided for each of the nights but you must bring your own age appropriate rod and reel, and bobber. Parents are welcome to stay and fish with their child but it is not necessary. Space is limited on the pier, so casting room is appreciated! If weather does not permit Fishing Club for the evening will be cancelled and a make-up date will be posted. Please check your email in the event of questional weather to be notified if Fishing Club will be cancelled. One rain date is built in to the schedule. To be guaranteed a camp T-shirt you must register before the deadline. Please select a T-shirt size when you register; YM, YL, YXL, AS, AM, AL or AXL.
