SNAG Golf (Starting New At Golf)

This Sports Unlimited golf program was created to meet the growing needs of the new generation of young golfers. Sports Unlimited uses SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment which involves golf clubs with oversized plastic heads and (tennis size) velcro golf balls to help kids develop the skills of hitting the ball. This special equipment is specifically designed for the entry level player. The camps are based on the philosophy of providing children with the opportunity to develop sports skills in a fun, safe and non-competitive environment. We will instruct the fundamentals of grip, stance, swing, ball contact, putting, chipping and driving. Children will be divided by age and skill level. No prior golf experience is necessary. All equipment is provided. Please bring sunscreen, water bottle, snack and appropriate dress. Staff to camper ratio 1-8. Campers will receive a water bottle and sportsmanship award. All equipment provided. If weather does not permit camp will be held in the Southview Gym.

Beginning Golf Skyhawks

Skyhawks Golf focuses on building the confidence of young athletes through proper technique and refining the essential skills of the game. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of form, chipping, putting, driving and
body positioning. To assist in this training, Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that
young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. All equipment is provided. We keep the instructor-to-camper ratio for this program very low, resulting in limited availability. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two snacks, a water bottle, running shoes, and sunscreen. If weather does not permit camp will move indoors to the Southview Dining Gym.
