Ridgeview Sports Performance Summer Camps

Waconia Speed & Strength Summer Program Wildcat Speed and Strength is a comprehensive sports performance program open to all Waconia High School athletes. Provided by Training HAUS powered by TCO, the Official Sports Performance Provider at Waconia High School, Wildcat Speed and Strength will focus on improving athlete strength, acceleration, speed, agility, mobility, and injury resilience. For additional information, please contact Josh Anderson at Josh Anderson@TrainingHAUS.com; in addition, all participants will receive a Wildcat Speed and Strength T-Shirt. Please select T-shirt size when you register; AS, AM, AL, AXL, AXXL. Meet in the Waconia High School Weight Room on the first day. A summer schedule of HS and MS locations will be provided to participants as the first day approaches. Register early, space is limited! Registrations are on a first come first-serve basis. Sorry, we cannot offer a refund/transfer/credit without 6 business days notice to the session start date.

Combined Performance Camp Option July 7 - August 6

This 90 minute session will focus on both strength and speed/ agility training to enhance athletic performance and decrease the risk of sport-related injury. Those with limited summer availability are encouraged to register for this camp which leads into fall sports preseason training camps.

Wildcat Strength & Speed Camp - Grades 5-8 (2020-2021)

This summer program is designed to increase strength, speed, agility and to prevent injury for all students who participate. The program will take place June 8- July 30. (No camp the week of July 6-8) All strength training skill levels are welcome. Please note that our schedule may change to accommodate the needs of participants this may include utilizing a third time slot. All sessions include weight room (strength) and agility (aerobics & outdoors) training. Meet in the Waconia Middle School Weight Room. We will often train outdoors, in the gym and aerobics room. Instructors: Mr. Terry Gammell & Mr. Collin Bender.

S-293: Girls Only (8:00am-9:00am) on Mon/Wed
This girls only session incorporates lifting, speed & agility. Emphasis placed on improving core strength, total body strength and flexibility. This session will use a combination of exercises designed to help the female
athlete improve. Total body, high intensity, workout designed to teach girls how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.

S-294: Beginners (9:15am-10:15am) on Mon/Wed
This beginners session incorporates lifting, speed & agility. Participants will learn basic weight lifting techniques and safety. Total body, high intensity, workout designed to teach students how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.

S-295: Intermediate (9:15am-10:15am) on Mon/Wed
This Intermediate session incorporates lifting, speed & agility and is designed for the athlete that has already had prior weight training instruction. Participants will learn some of the more advanced strength training exercises and techniques that will help prepare them for varsity level strength training. Total body, high-intensity workout designed to teach students how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.
