Ridgeview Teen Strength Camp

Open to boys and girls. Designed to introduce strength training and body mechanics to teens, Grades 6th-9th. Learn the fundamentals of resistance training and its importance in maintaining a healthy weight, strengthening muscles and bones, improving body mechanics and boosting confidence and self-esteem. Camp sessions are instructed by Ridgeview’s Sports Performance Specialists and have a favorable staff to participant ratio (Approximately 1:15), ensuring adequate attention is given to each participant in respect to proper technique and education

Ridgeview 6th-9th Grade Fall Strength

Learn the fundamentals of resistance training and its importance in maintaining a healthy weight, strengthening muscles and bones, improving body mechanics, and boosting confidence and self-esteem. Camp sessions are instructed by Ridgeview Sports Performance Specialists, who have a combined 11 years of experience training youth in wellness and performance. Ridgeview’s favorable staff to participant ratio (approximately 1:15) ensures adequate attention is given to each participant in respect to proper technique and education. 
 
8 Mondays: Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 & Nov. 5

Ridgeview Sports Performance Summer Camps

Ridgeview Sports Performance Camps are designed to help the student-athlete train in preparation for their upcoming sport season. Our sports performance specialists, along with our staff of athletic trainers, many with Master’s Degrees in exercise physiology have developed a professional model that provides proven performance programming combined with efficient use of the student-athlete’s time. All male and female student-athletes grades 9-12 are encouraged to register! Please select T-shirt size when you register; AS, AM, AL, AXL, AXXL. Meet in Waconia High School Weight Room, the turf field, grass space near WHS and track may also be used for Speed camp.
 

Weight Training Camp - Monday, Wednesday, Friday - $100

**Strongly suggested to also register for Ridgeview’s Speed, Agility, and Plyometric Training Camp. 60 minute sessions will aim to maximize athletic performance through fundamental strength and power training. Instruction in proper body mechanics and technique will not only enhance performance, but decrease the risk of sport-related injury.

Speed, Agility, and Plyometric Training - Tuesday and Thursday - $127

**Strongly suggested to also register for Ridgeview’s Weight Training Camp. 75 minutes sessions will focus on speed, agility and plyometric training to enhance athletic movement and decrease the risk of sport-related injury.

Combined Performance Camp – NEW Evening Option - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - $152

90 minute sessions will focus on both strength and speed/agility training to enhance athletic performance and decrease the risk of sport-related injury.

Combined Performance Camp – 4-week Option - Monday and Wednesday - $55

90 minute session will focus on both strength and speed/agility training to enhance athletic performance and decrease the risk of sport-related injury. Those with limited summer availability are encouraged to register for this camp which leads into fall sports preseason training camps.

Wildcat Strength & Speed Camp - Grades 5-8 (2018-2019)

This summer program is designed to increase strength, speed, agility and to prevent injury for all students who participate. The program will take place June 18- Aug 1. (No camp July 2 & 4) All strength training skill levels are welcome. Program cost will cover weightlifting program and/or speed training as well as a camp T-shirt. To be guaranteed a camp T-shirt you must register on time. Please note that our schedule may change to accommodate the needs of participants this may include utilizing a third time slot. All sessions include weight room (strength) and agility (aerobics & outdoors) training. Please note your T-shirt size upon registering - YM, YL , YXL , AS, AM, AL, AXL. Meet in the Waconia Middle School Weight Room.

S-305: Girls Only (8:00am-9:00 am) on Mon/Wed

This girls only session incorporates lifting, speed & agility. Emphasis placed on improving core strength, total body strength and flexibility. This session will use a combination of exercises designed to help the female athlete improve. Total body, high intensity, workout designed to teach girls how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.

S-306: Beginners (9:15pm-10:15am) on Mon/Wed

This beginners session incorporates lifting, speed & agility. Participants will learn basic weight lifting techniques and safety. Total body, high intensity, workout designed to teach students how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.

S-307: Intermediate (9:15pm-10:15am) on Mon/Wed

This Intermediate session incorporates lifting, speed & agility and is designed for the athlete that has already had prior weight training instruction. Participants will learn some of the more advanced strength training exercises and techniques that will help prepare them for varsity level strength training. Total body, high-intensity workout designed to teach students how to match specific muscle groups with corresponding lifts. We will also work on agility, plyometrics along with muscular and cardiovascular conditioning. In this camp, you will work towards improving your overall speed, agility, power, and quickness.
